Track 1 · Webigo Foundations

BA-103

Building a High-Converting Business Profile

In this lesson you will turn your basic listing into a mini landing page. We will focus on photos, headline, story, and offers so that members see why they should choose you instead of a big box or chain competitor.

Duration: about 10 minutes Format: Written guide and examples Perfect right after BA-102

Lesson goals

  • Make your profile visually inviting.
  • Write a simple, benefit focused headline.
  • Tell a short story that feels local and real.
  • Highlight one or two clear Webigo offers.

Before you start

Have access to a few good photos of your location, products, or people. You can always update these later, so do not wait for perfection.

Profile elements we focus on

1. Photos

Use one main photo that makes sense at a glance: exterior, signature dish, main service area, or your team. Add one or two supporting images if your layout allows it.

  • Avoid dark, blurry, or cluttered photos.
  • Show people enjoying the experience when possible.
  • Keep branding consistent with your website and social profiles.

2. Headline

Your headline should say who you are for and what they get, not just the category of your business.

Simple headline formulas:

  • [Business type] for [specific customer] in [area].
  • [Result] without [common frustration].
  • [Specialty or hook] that regulars love in [neighborhood].

3. Story and details

A short paragraph can show that you are a real local business with real people behind it. Focus on what matters to your customers, not a long history lesson.

  • How long you have served the community.
  • What you are known for or proud of.
  • Any local partnerships, causes, or community ties.

4. Webigo offers and rewards

Highlight one or two clear offers that make sense financially. The goal is to bring people in and keep them coming back, not to give away your margin.

  • Start with something simple for first time members.
  • Use Webigo rewards instead of deep discounts.
  • Make it easy for staff to explain at checkout.

Mini worksheet

You can copy these prompts into a document or notepad while you update your profile.

  • Headline: what would you write if you had one sentence on a billboard?
  • Story: in three sentences, why do customers choose you?
  • Offer: what is a safe, attractive Webigo reward you can run for new members?

After this lesson

When you are happy with your profile, you are ready for BA-104, which gives you a simple seven day plan to start driving visits and redemptions.

Quick checklist

Use this to confirm that your profile is ready for traffic.

  • I have at least one clear, well lit main photo.
  • My headline explains who we serve and what they get.
  • My story paragraph is short, clear, and easy to read.
  • My Webigo rewards make financial sense for my business.
  • I would feel comfortable showing this page to a new customer.

Share with your team

Once your profile is updated, show it to your front of house staff so they can see what customers see.

This also makes it easier for them to invite customers to join Webigo and find you in the directory.
